He had never seen such emotions in her.
What was it?
He vaguely sensed a clue, but in the next moment, it dissipated without a trace.
His thoughts were in disarray.
Furrowing his brows, Glenn Hutchinson met her gaze, and after what seemed like an eternity, he gradually crouched down, his heavy brows watching her, his voice low and magnetic, "Erina Taylor?"
In an instant, Flossie Wright narrowed her eyes, a trace of astonishment slipping through.
When she looked up again, she suddenly lifted her lips, gently exuding one word, "Who?"
His heart, suddenly sank.
What he cared about was not Flossie Wright’s question, but—
Her pause, and that flash of astonishment.
Did she recognize her?
Glenn Hutchinson didn’t continue the thought.
"Flossie Wright," Glenn Hutchinson called softly.
This time, Flossie Wright responded quickly.
"Done running?" Glenn Hutchinson suddenly changed the subject.
"No," Flossie Wright said, her gaze shifting slightly towards the vast night sky.
The Base had a wide area, with no buildings around to obstruct the view, and the night seemed to fill her entire vision, the endless stars reflecting in her dark pupils.
"Keep running?" Glenn Hutchinson suddenly asked.
"Not running."
"Then..." after a moment of thought, Glenn Hutchinson asked again, "Go back?"
"Not going back," Flossie Wright replied decisively.
But before Glenn Hutchinson could speak again, she lazily added, "I’m tired."
After thinking it over, Glenn Hutchinson patiently said, "I’ll carry you."
Flossie Wright closed her eyes, her voice gradually weakening.
This stubbornness completely stumped Glenn Hutchinson.
If he had known, he wouldn’t have put alcohol in the cake.
Suddenly remembering the video call with his mother teaching how to bake a cake, and the smirking encouragement in between, Glenn Hutchinson belatedly realized something.
Truly headache-inducing.
All of a sudden, Flossie Wright spoke lazily, her eyes squinting slightly.

With no other option, Glenn Hutchinson took out a hat and handed it to Flossie Wright.
With a light raise of her eyebrows, Flossie Wright took the hat.
She placed the hat on her head, pushing the brim down to cover most of her face.
Effectively blocking Glenn Hutchinson’s line of sight.
Glenn Hutchinson watched Flossie Wright for a while, his eyebrows tightly furrowed.
He was at a loss with her.
A while later, Glenn Hutchinson simply lay down next to Flossie Wright.
Both lay on their backs, their arms not more than a fist’s distance apart.
After an indefinite amount of time, Flossie Wright suddenly spoke up.
Glenn Hutchinson turned his head and saw Flossie Wright rolling over to face him.
"Give me your jacket."
Flossie Wright frowned slightly, hugging her own arms.
She was wearing only a short sleeve, and the early summer night was cool. Once the heat from running subsided, her body had gradually cooled down.
"Are you sure?" Glenn Hutchinson suddenly raised his eyebrows.
"Sure," Flossie Wright said, emphatically.
Staring intently at her, Glenn Hutchinson slightly curved his lips, slowly saying, "To use my clothes is to be mine."
Flossie Wright stared at him for three seconds.
Then, propping herself up on her elbows, she reached out to Glenn Hutchinson’s shirt buttons.
Glenn Hutchinson looked up and stretched out his hand to block her move, but then Flossie Wright’s other hand swiftly attacked, and with a slight flick of two fingers, she undid his first button.
He didn’t mind being tackled by her, but with such "impure" intentions, Glenn Hutchinson couldn’t condone it.
Flossie Wright wrestled with him for a while.
When they finally stopped, she was entirely pinned to the ground by Glenn Hutchinson.
Their breaths intertwined.
"Glenn," raising her hand, gripping his collar tightly, Flossie Wright smiled at her lips, yet with a cold intent, "it would have been better to have killed you then."
No sooner had her voice faded than Flossie Wright, gripping his collar, suddenly pulled hard. Glenn Hutchinson collapsed onto her.
Their lips met.
