"I’m hungry."
Flossie Wright peered through the crack in the door at all kinds of fruits and vegetables inside, then shrugged helplessly.
Having glanced at Flossie Wright, the Captain Lin quickly went in. In less than two seconds, two tomatoes were tossed out from inside, which Flossie was quick to catch.
"Go, go, go!"
Having reappeared at the kitchen door, Captain Lin, like shooing away a beggar, motioned for Flossie to leave quickly, demonstrating his disdain without hesitation.
Flossie’s mouth twitched slightly, eventually she turned around without a word and headed towards the dormitory.
However, just as Flossie finished taking her bath and came out, Becca Reyes rushed up to her, as frantic as if the sky was falling.
"What happened?"
Flossie stood there, clasping her bucket, looking somewhat confused at Becca Reyes, her brows furrowed slightly.

"I wanted to go see Janice Wood just now, but they told me that Janice had already left when our drill started!"
Becca Reyes, having run hastily, was panting as she spoke, her tone inevitably anxious.
Of course, she has Janice’s contact information, Janice’s sudden departure without a word wouldn’t bother her too much. The reason for her panic was entirely because of Janice and Flossie Wright.
In her memory, except for the time when Flossie came back and visited Janice once, she hadn’t been to the hospital since, and Janice was so worried about Flossie. If Janice left without seeing Flossie again...

Coming back to her senses, she quickly caught up with Flossie’s steps, "How did you know?"
Flossie side-eyed her and said nonchalantly, "I went to see her the night before the drill."
"... Damn!"
Becca Reyes stopped in her tracks, pulling a face, and as she watched Flossie calmly walk away, she cursed under her breath. However, after giving it some thought, she couldn’t help but laugh.
She was extremely worried that the relationship between Flossie and Janice would just end like this, but it seemed that she had been worrying for nothing. Considering Flossie’s temperament, she probably didn’t have the intention to be mad at Janice in the first place, let alone cutting off ties with her.
After all, Flossie isn’t one for verbalizing her feelings, or getting into trouble. Perhaps whilst she and Janice were worrying unnecessarily, Flossie had been unbothered this whole time.
Shaking her head, Becca Reyes gathered her thoughts before chasing after Flossie again, "You just came back, what are you going to do?"
Arriving at the dormitory door, Flossie looked at her, saying calmly: "Sleep."
Becca Reyes: "..."
"Wake me up for dinner."
Entering the door, Flossie paused, then added casually.
So, after a moment of hesitation, Becca Reyes reluctantly followed her into the dormitory.
Feeling tired after a nearly a week with little sleep, it would be foolish not to take the opportunity to rest as much as possible...
From morning till afternoon, during lunchtime, Yvonne Watson, under the guidance of Captain Lin, had timidly entered the room to call for Flossie and Becca. But after she was scared off by Flossie’s killer stare in semi-slumber, she had ran off in panic and refused to go back to call the two girls again. In the end, Captain Lin didn’t force her, after all, they would get up to find something to eat themselves when they were hungry.
When Flossie woke up, it was already approaching dusk.
The sunset light filtered through the window and fell on the bed, casting patches of orange light. It was in this glow of sunset that Flossie woke up.
Her expression was unusually soft, lacking the sharpness when she was fully awake, instead it looked lazy. After confirming that she was hungry and couldn’t go back to sleep, she rolled out of bed.
This slight movement was enough to jolt Becca Reyes awake from her nightmare.
"What time is it?"
Becca Reyes, having broken out in a cold sweat from her nightmare, gradually calmed down after a while, and then looked at Flossie, who was already dressed and ready to leave. She propped herself on the bed rail and asked groggily.
"Almost dark."
Flossie didn’t even look at her watch, just glanced at the dusk sky outside, then answered Becca.
Slapping her head awake, Becca Reyes immediately jumped out of bed.
"Are we going to eat?"
Grabbing her coat and slipping it on whilst vaguely asking Flossie, Becca found her boots and hurriedly put them on.
Noticing Becca’s actions, Flossie knew her intent, so she didn’t leave right away but leant on the door waiting for her.
Flossie only walked to the kitchen with her after Becca finished sorting herself out.
"You came at the right time, the Captain has prepared a special meal for the two of you, it’s still warm now."
As soon as the two entered, Xiao Yan greeted them with a giggly smile, subtly pointing to the several dishes in the corner.
Returning with a light smile, Becca then pulled Flossie to have the meal.
Having starved all day, Becca had only eaten some compressed biscuits in the morning. She was now so famished that she nearly ate her rice with her hands, shoving her food straight into her stomach like a starving ghost, whilst Flossie, on the other hand, ate more gracefully.
After all, Flossie was someone who had had two tomatoes in the morning.
However, just as they were halfway through their meal, a head popped out from behind the kitchen door, yelling excitedly at everyone in the kitchen—
"Hey, you guys might want to see this, a new recruit has picked a fight with Hutchinson Team Captain!"
