Military District Hospital.
The quiet night had once again descended into silence at the hospital.
Inside a hospital room that was brightly lit, Becca Reyes was thoughtfully feeding Janice Wood some soup. The two of them would occasionally say a few words to each other, but there wasn’t much conversation overall, and the room was generally quiet.
Janice Wood’s mental state had improved considerably over this period of time. Although she would occasionally stare blankly at a certain spot and sometimes be absent-minded during a conversation, there was a clear improvement compared to before. Coupled with the guidance from professional psychologists, both her physical and mental conditions had improved noticeably.
"Um, where is Flossie?"
Hesitating throughout the entire meal time, Janice Wood waited until she finished the unbearable task of sipping the soup before finally voicing the question that had lingered in her mind since Becca Reyes came in.
Ever since Flossie Wright visited her once after returning to the Base, she hadn’t come again.
Janice Wood was unaware of the fact that Flossie went to confront Clara Birch and Agnes Parker after leaving, and she didn’t know that Agnes had already packed up and left. Therefore, she still felt that she hadn’t received Flossie’s forgiveness, especially since she hadn’t seen Flossie at all.
Every day was spent in the room recovering from her injuries, and she had conversations with the management who came to talk to her. Life was dry and uneventful. Now talks about her next destination had begun with the management, and she had agreed to be reassigned, so she wasn’t sure how long she would be staying here, or even if she would ever see Flossie again.
She was a little worried.
To be honest, the one person she really cared about in this place was Flossie.
She was typically a reserved and shy individual, and after spending time with Flossie, she had become somewhat more cheerful, but Winsley Scott’s situation had caused her to revert back to her former self almost instantly, becoming even more silent than before. So every time she saw Becca Reyes, she wanted to ask about Flossie, but she just couldn’t bring herself to do it.

"Her?" Having heard the question, Becca Reyes, who was clearing the dishes, paused for a moment before sitting back down beside Janice’s bed, "She’s currently training on the mountain. As you know, the winter drill is coming."
Becca Reyes carefully chose her words in response.
As for Flossie’s thoughts, she truly couldn’t figure them out. Flossie had sought revenge for Janice that very night and knew that Janice was the victim. Becca had tried several times to bring Flossie over, but she was always flatly refused.
There were no drastic emotional reactions. Flossie even took the initiative to prepare meals for Janice and she was always the first to receive the game that Flossie brought back.
Flossie continued with her usual routine, just that she hadn’t visited the hospital again.
"Oh," Janice nodded and gave Becca Reyes a somewhat apologetic smile, "I’m sorry... for taking up so much of your time these days... ah..."
Before she could finish her sentence, she received a big silent reprimand from Becca Reyes.
"You don’t need to do this," Becca Reyes pulled her hand back, shrugged at the confused-looking Janice, "Whatever we do for you, we do it willingly. Instead of fretting over this, you’re better off accepting it graciously."
As she said these words, Becca Reyes let out a small sigh in her heart.
She couldn’t figure out how they became such good friends with Janice Wood, a type of girl who she would never have socialized with before. Becca liked to be decisive in doing things, like Flossie... No, Flossie was already considered an extreme case.
She didn’t want to discuss these sentimentally contrived matters with Janice Wood. There was nothing to be thankful or sorry for, sometimes even things done willingly were unpredictable. The time she spent visiting Janice was not to hear such words.
"Ah, I see."
