When Flossie Wright returned, Glenn Hutchinson was still waiting for her.
She had been running on the track for several hours, occasionally doing some light exercises, but she was still quite exhausted.
However, Glenn Hutchinson had already prepared toiletries and a change of clothes for her.
Flossie Wright grabbed the clothes and went straight into the bathroom.
Although the weather was very cold, Flossie was steaming hot after working out. She initially intended to shower with hot water, but Glenn Hutchinson wandered outside the door and instructed her not to bother saving a little hot water for the country. After a moment’s hesitation, Flossie decided to take a hot shower.
"Callie Stewart and Luna Vaughan, were they from the same recruit camp?"
After finishing her shower, Flossie Wright dried her hair with a towel and asked Glenn Hutchinson.
Even though she had reviewed everyone’s profiles, she wasn’t entirely familiar with everyone’s history. Knowing details from so far back was a bit much.
"Yeah." Glenn Hutchinson plugged in the hairdryer, then pulled out a chair, signaling Flossie to sit down.
Flossie was already used to this; she tossed away the towel and promptly sat down.
The noise of the hairdryer was too loud for conversation, so Flossie let Glenn blow her hair without saying anything. Not until her hair was nearly dry and Glenn turned off the hairdryer did Flossie raise an eyebrow and casually run her hand through her short hair.
"So, what’s your plan?"
Crossing her legs, Flossie leaned back in the chair and looked up at Glenn.
"What plan?" Glenn acted as if he didn’t understand.
"The wedding, meeting the family."
Flossie spoke lightly, her eyebrows unintentionally lifting.
At 23, Flossie had never imagined she would get married or face family and elders. But at 23, when Glenn Hutchinson handed her the marriage registration form, Flossie began to slowly accept this reality.
However, having wandered for many years and with little contact with the Wright Family after joining the Forces, she rarely thought about how to interact with so-called "family."
She remembered there were a few neighbors when she was young who gossiped about trivial matters every day, something Flossie could never tolerate.
She would throw them a cold face in no time.
She had to give Glenn Hutchinson a heads-up.
Glenn Hutchinson curled his lips and said calmly, "Once they finish the first phase of training, we’ll go back."
He knew she didn’t care much about it. If she could, Flossie would rather stay in the Forces forever. In fact, Glenn was quite surprised that Flossie brought it up herself.
"Hmm?" Flossie showed a bit of confusion.
"Just in time for the New Year, take a week off," Glenn explained, "Pay visits, meet relatives, have the wedding."
"Do we have to have a wedding?" Flossie asked.
"You don’t like it?"
"It’s kind of tacky." Flossie gently furrowed her brows.
In her mind, just registering would suffice; during a celebration, a group chatting over a meal would be enough.
She had no particular concept of a formal wedding, nor any desire to experience one.
"I’ll talk it over with the family," Glenn suggested indulgently.
"No need," Flossie replied plainly, "Let them have their way."
The Hutchinson Family only had Glenn Hutchinson as an heir...
Couldn’t blame them for wanting a bit of a fuss?
Otherwise, it would imply that Flossie didn’t understand the rules when marrying in.
Seeing her "understanding" for once, Glenn couldn’t help but smile.
"The process is cumbersome, a bit hard to endure," Glenn preemptively warned Flossie.
Flossie lazily acknowledged.
No matter what, it wasn’t more difficult than being bedridden in the hospital.
"What about the Base?" Flossie asked again.
"We’ll have a gathering when we’re back," Glenn laughed.
Flossie readily agreed to this suggestion of having a meal with familiar faces.

It was already past midnight, Flossie and Glenn didn’t stay up chatting, as there would be training the next day, so they turned off the lights and went to bed.
The next day.
Flossie slept in until the morning drill ended.
The training followed the same pattern as before, with the schedule posted downstairs below the dormitory for trainees to complete on their own. Those who didn’t finish wouldn’t get to eat, and those who couldn’t persist could opt to quit.
Meanwhile, as a female Instructor, Flossie could skip supervising the morning drill.
