Abram Phillips, wearing a grave expression, observed the two soldiers reporting from a hundred meters away at the shooting range with close scrutiny. Seeing their body language, he knew something was happening, and his previously gloomy face rapidly brightened up.
"Report the scores!" Abram Phillips commanded at the two returning soldiers, his voice resonating.
The two soldiers exchanged a look before starting to report each result in turn.
"Albert Davis, 48 points."
Barely announcing the first score, nearly all the female soldiers exhaled, their faces lightening up as they felt their dignity restored. Even the smug looks on the men’s faces no longer upset them as much.
The instructors and male soldiers from the neighboring group closely watched the female soldiers’ scores, waiting to shoot their targets in turn. They had two scores of fifty and the lowest was forty-three, which gave them overflowing confidence, and they already had in mind who beat the female soldiers.
Then, when they heard the following scores, their smiles froze into a daze...
"Jocelyn Carrington, fifty points!"
"Becca Reyes, fifty points!"
"Janice Wood, fifty points!"
Three consecutive scores of fifty silenced the entire field.
The female soldiers went from shock to ecstasy. They couldn’t help but burst out in celebration for the three female soldiers who made this miracle happen, extremely proud of their achievement! Perhaps naturally, the once-lowered atmosphere vanished without a trace. The female soldier’s eyes sparkled with confidence and joy, their beaming smiles impossible to conceal.
Meanwhile, the male soldiers, who had been waiting to enjoy the show, stared, dumbfounded. They looked at each other, their faces spelling disbelief.

With every following score being above forty-five, this round thoroughly suppressed the male soldiers’ arrogance, causing a complete 180-degree turn of events! Some of the men clenched their jaws so hard they were about to chip a tooth. If anyone suggested this was a coincidence, they would’ve jumped in to brawl. Those sharpshooters among the female soldiers must have been placed in one group deliberately; otherwise, the shooting scores wouldn’t show such a big difference!
"Flossie Wright," the soldier reporting the scores paused unconsciously as he read the last name, casting a subconscious glance at Flossie. His gaze wavered with uncertainty, and only under many disappointed looks did he slow down to utter, "Fifty points!"
The shooting range abruptly plunged into an eerie silence.
Three seconds later, the otherwise quiet field erupted in chaos. Voices of shock and amazement rang out amidst the heated discussions highlighting everyone’s astonished faces.
In that split second, nearly everyone had the same thought -
There must be an error somewhere; Flossie Wright shooting fifteen would be more believable?!
The soldier reporting the Shooting scores watched their reactions with satisfaction, his thoughts a mixture of disdain and disgust. If they were so shocked about fifty, they will probably break down if they saw Flossie’s target.
Meanwhile, the onlooking Rowdy Brightwill and Drake Easton felt that something was amiss. After exchanging a look, they walked over to Flossie’s target in unison.
"Bro, are you sure you didn’t read it backwards?" As one of the unlucky guys who had been tricked by Flossie, Stuart Weston intruded, his voice overflowing with skepticism.
At his words, most of the male soldiers burst out in laughter. The disbelief and mockery in their laughter came through loud and clear, making the female soldiers seethe with anger, ready to launch an attack.
Even though they didn’t believe Flossie could hit the bullseye five times in a row, the overt mockery from the male soldiers was intolerable!
