"Hmm," Nigel Ferguson nodded and introduced her, "This is Flossie Wright. It’s because of her that I joined the Forces."
As he spoke, Nigel Ferguson shyly glanced at Flossie Wright and introduced, "This is Margaret, my girlfriend."
A robust man, yet his face couldn’t help but blush a little when he said this.
At the same time, Margaret, whom he introduced, shyly lowered her head.
"Since you’re Nigel’s friend, this meal’s on me," Margaret playfully stuck out her tongue and smiled at Flossie, then looked at Nigel Ferguson, "You guys take your time, I’ll go get the Herbal Tea."
Nigel Ferguson nodded vigorously.
Margaret trotted away.
Nigel Ferguson watched her leave the entire way.
Only after she entered the kitchen did he snap back to reality and sat down across from Flossie Wright.
Flossie’s eyelid twitched, and she couldn’t help but feel a bit of a headache.
"How are you doing now? Are you still with Eddy Codalt?"
Pulling out a cigarette, Nigel Ferguson was about to light it, but after glancing at Flossie Wright subconsciously, he dutifully put it back.
Flossie said lightly as she picked up a pair of chopsticks from a wooden tub beside her, breaking them apart.
She was getting ready to eat the Cold Noodles.
After walking for a day and a night, having only eaten some dry food in between, she was actually a bit hungry.
"Huh?" Nigel Ferguson widened his eyes in astonishment.
"Yeah." Flossie replied indifferently.
"So now you’re..." Nigel Ferguson looked at Flossie and asked hesitantly.
"Unemployed," Flossie said naturally, then paused and added, "Traveling everywhere."
Nigel Ferguson widened his eyes in disbelief.

After just a year and a half, how did Flossie end up leaving the Forces?
Even if it was conscription, it would be less than two years; it isn’t fulfilled yet?
"This place is so remote..." Nigel Ferguson said, somewhat incredulously.
If tourism really could develop here, it wouldn’t be so rundown.
Throughout the year, you hardly see any tourists around here.
After all, there’s no scenery, no architecture, not even a hotel.
"Is it not okay?" Flossie slightly raised her eyebrows.
Nigel Ferguson immediately conceded, "Not at all."
The atmosphere suddenly became a bit awkward, but fortunately, Margaret brought over the Herbal Tea, relieving the earlier discomfort brought by the conversation topic.
With the lively presence of Margaret, Nigel Ferguson tried to change the subject, asking Flossie about her upcoming plans.
If there’s no hotel here, would she want to stay a night at the Guesthouse where they were?
Flossie was someone who knew how to chat, but now, seeing that military uniform, a certain damned figure flashed in her mind, so she kept running the conversation cold, occasionally saying a few words before reaching a limit, unable to continue talking.
Nigel Ferguson tried asking several times, ultimately giving up in exhaustion.
For some reason, he always felt Flossie was somewhat strange...
She used to be much more talkative than she is now.
And her communication skills were never this awkward.
Seems like she’s become much more reserved.
In his confusion, Nigel Ferguson finished his Herbal Tea and looked at the time; it was about time to leave.
"I couldn’t reach you on your old phone number; did you change it?"
Before leaving, Nigel Ferguson asked Flossie one last question.
In places like this, people don’t dare to open their doors at night, and it’s quite dangerous in deserted areas. Exchanging phone numbers with Flossie would make it easier to contact each other.
